So I just posted up a fun slideshow of Niki and Jonah’s wedding, and couldn’t leave it alone! So I created this black and white version to better fit the 8mm old school film / movie projector theme I had started last time! Rather than just post it on top of my old versions, i wanted to find out which one my Blog readers think is better?! Lots of comments welcome! If you feel this ruins perfectly good photos, let me know…think it is awesome, give me a shout out below!
I just wanted to post this slideshow up of Niki and Jonah’s big day! Hope everyone enjoys the little vintage 8mm look! Thanks so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful wedding!
Melanie and Rob’s big day was a blast! They got married at Ballentyne Country Club, and everything was so beautiful! Here are some of my favorites! (I don’t know how many are too many to blog about…I just liked so many of them…)

The bridesmaids were awesome and kept Melanie laughing a lot before the ceremony!

Rob looking super GQ while getting ready!

This might be my favorite shot! I love the textured look!

I always love the after ceremony photo session! I can’t wait to post a few of her bridal pics up next though! I have been wanting to post those guys ever since we took them! ![]()

Everyone was getting down! Rob showed us his best moves, and was a great sport when everyone pushed him dance solo for an entire song haha!

I didn’t even set this moment up, they just looked that darn cool together! ![]()

The grand exit! Rob protecting Melanie from the barrage!
Dana and Bob’s wedding this past weekend was SOOO amazing! The reception was at Bentley’s uptown, which I absolutely loved! Very stylish, modern, and almost too many cool places to shoot! (I don’t know I have ever had that problem at a venue before!)
I can’t wait to work through all the photos (I took a TON!), but I did manage to sneak in a very few minutes of video, and just wanted to post that up before I got the photos all together! I can’t wait to show everyone the rest, check back in a week or so for the photo slide-show!
Yeah, I know this is just a tease of a video…but I only shot video when I had already captured all the still photos I needed at that time!
For the ceremony kiss I simply set one 5d on the floor taking video with my 16-35 on it and just let the video roll, while I shot still photos with the other 5d! …5d multitasking fun!
Things have been crazy the past few months! Thanks to everyone for the cards and e-mails! Jess, Pierce and I have been doing great as most of you know (e-mail me if you didn’t get to see video or photos, and i’ll send them over!)
For now, I am not posting photos of the little guy on the blog after begging and pleading from the Grandmas to not make Pierce famous yet by posting up his cuteness!
Didn’t I promise some eye candy to follow? Well here it is! Amy and Jason!
These guys were so awesome to work with, and came up with the coolest location for their engagement shoot! Check out the photos here:
As things were so busy and crazy in our lives over the past 6 months to a year I totally neglected my blog! I am so sorry to everyone who checks it regularly! Click the sign up for RSS feed in order to get notified when I post something!
Things have been very busy for us lately! My wife is due this coming Thursday and we are so excited about Pierce’s birth! (it’s a boy!!!)
On top of all that fun, things are changing very rapidly in the photography world…
For those that haven’t heard, Canon and Nikon both released new digital SLR’s that do HD-Video. And if you haven’t yet seen clips from these things get ready for something VERY cool!
Video and Still photography are merging closer every day! I have had my hands on the brand new Canon 5d Mark II for some time now, and I am so excited about the future. I am still learning, growing, and developing my video skills, and where still photos will always be my number one priority, having these SWEET clips to mix in really punches things up!
Check out a short clip from my engagement shoot this past weekend of Mandy and Matt! (you may have to pause the video for a second in order for everything to load before playing…it may play and stop otherwise) I promise my next video will be a little longer…I only took about 2 minutes of video total and now wish I would have shot 20 minutes worth!
A few weeks ago I recieved an e-mail from RedCart (my photo cart company…see my store at http://www.danklutz.com/RedCart/) mentioning that they were asking a few photographers if they could take screen shots of our Cart systems…I replied and told them they could use anything they wanted.
To my amazement they picked my cart to be on the opening page of their website!

Thanks so much guys! RedCart is such a great company to be featured by, their product and customer service has always been second to none!
Happy Holidays!
